OLC Accelerate 2016

Ed Map will be out in force at OLC Accelerate 2016. We’re a sponsor of the event and are participating in two sessions. The first one, scheduled for 3:15 pm on November 17 in room Northern Hemisphere A3-A4, is Curation for the classroom. A practical look at discovering and integrating OER and other disaggregated course content. Ed Map Vice President of Solutions & Services Sarah Riddlebarger will serve as the lead presenter. She’ll be joined by two representatives from CURATE by Ed Map™ client Thomas Edison State University — Matthew Cooper (Associate Provost Matthew Cooper, Associate Provost of its Center for Learning and Technology, and Carly Statz, an instructional designer with the Center.) The fourth presenter will be Andrea Dunn, the Associate Vice President of Electronic Course Materials at American Public University System. The session will be moderated by OER expert Gerry Hanley who is the Executive Director of MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching) and Assistant Vice Chancellor, Academic Technology Services for the California State University, Office of the Chancellor. 

Sarah is also leading a Solutions Showcase, Is your bookstore broken?Outcomes from the second year after launching a new content strategy at Capella to support learners and learning on Friday at 9:45 am in Europe 3. Sarah will be joined by Capella University’s Vice President of Learner Services and Operations Tonia Teasley as they discuss lessons learned from the past two years of Capella’s launch of a new content strategy to support learners and learning. This wide-ranging conversation will include content strategy and leadership, change management, and future-proofing your implementation.
